This is pongal festival taking place at tiruvunantapuram of kerala state. It is a large festival 30 lakhs of women participated in this programme, IT has been going on since 200 years of time. This festival is guinnise book of world records. in 5 km area around the temple 30 lakhs woman prapares traditionally with fire wood stoves the pongal. the preparation of pongal i s purely traditional. the woman use rice, coconut scrap,jagiry , and riped bananas. lakhs of people participated to witness this programme.
