A woman climbs Mt. Everest twice in one week.

Climbing Mount Everest is the ultimate thrill for adventure seekers. Many don't make it and most are just happy to get to the summit atleast once.

A 29-year-old Nepalese woman has broken a world record by scaling the summit which reaches more than 29,000 feet high.

She successfully climbed Mount Everest not once, but twice in one week.

Known for temperatures that can easily reach -40 degrees Fahrenheit, ferocious winds and oxygen-deprived air at elevated heights, ascending up Mount Everest has led to many climbers deaths.

She first reached the summit of the world’s tallest mountain on May 12th, 2012. Then she did it again a second time on May 19th, 2012. Recently Nepal’s Tourism Minister presented the lady with a certificate from Guinness World Records recognizing her for the accomplishment.
Mount Everest climbers have come a long way over the past few decades. The first person to ever climb the summit twice passed away in 2011 at the age of 79. Known as the "Tiger of the Snow", he first scaled the mountain in 1963 and did it again in 1965.
