A man is sentenced after throwing an infant at a police officer.

A father is serving jail time for an unimaginable act. The 42-year-old man from Sweden had been in a garage when he threw his 9-month-old child at an approaching police officer.

The infant was tossed into the air, but thankfully a quick-thinking officer was able to catch the baby by the leg preventing him from hitting the ground. The district court initially dismissed the charges, but recently, the court of appeals threw out the initial decision, citing the baby could have been seriously injured.

The suspect was sentenced to 15 months in jail for endangering the life of a child. His past conviction of assaulting his girlfriend and several of their children was also upheld.

In 2007, police in Maryland were sent to a woman’s home for a well-being check. When officers arrived at the residence, they could smell marijuana so they entered the house.

When suspected drugs and paraphernalia were discovered, police officials told the lady that she was being arrested. She became irate and threw her 6-month-old baby across the room. Luckily, an alert officer was able to catch the infant, avoiding any injury.
