With days left to go until his New York Fashion Week show, Zang Toi's Manhattan studio is buzzing with activity as the final fittings for his Fall 2013 collection get underway. Toi is taking inspiration this year from a recent trip to St. Petersburg in Russia and a chance encounter with the Peterhof Palace, known as Russia's Versailles. This year Toi's collection is teeming with an array of colors and fabrics including what is known as a ‘Dragon Empress' fabric he said he's been waiting 20 years for the right time to use. And it all oozes elegance, but he insisted that what sets his work apart is the quality tailoring.
