You will need to use the DuraVent DuraPlus Extended Roof Bracket whenever your chimney system extends more than 4' above the roof line. The Extended Roof Bracket is used to help stabilize the chimney system to protect against any damage or movement that could be caused from snow, ice or heavy wind.

The Extended Roof Bracket is simple to install and needs just a few extra screws to attach it to the roof. Simply place the pipe bracket around the pipe, and secure. Then the 4 extendable poles just slide together by sliding the smaller pipe into the larger pipe, two poles together form one pole for each side. One end attaches to the bracket on the pipe and the other end attaches to a bracket (included) installed on the chimney. The extendable poles have a range of 67 inches to 114 inches. Once you have the length that you want then you will attach the included brackets to lock the length in place, then attach to the bracket on the pipe and on the roof and you are done.
