The girlfriend of South African paralympian Oscar Pistorius was shot dead at his house in Pretoria on February 13.

Police said they found a 9 millimetre pistol at the scene and arrested a 26 year-old man - the same age as Pistorius.

South African media is speculating that the star athlete is the arrested man - and that he may have mistaken his girlfriend for an intruder.
