Bold colours dominate at rain-soaked Baftas

With non-stop sleet, snow and rain, the weather on the BAFTA red carpet was wintry, but some of the outfits seemed to bring a touch of summer.
Leading actress nominee Marion Cotillard dazzled in canary yellow Dior couture, while fellow contender Jessica Chastain wore electric blue Roland Mouret.
Jennifer Lawrence wore a cream Dior gown, though fashion watchers were unable to get the full effect as she kept her coat on to protect her from the downpour.

One star who certainly made the most of the incessant downpours was British actress Helen Mirren.
She surprised everyone by revealing a bubblegum pink crop of hair.

"I can do anything I like with my hair. It's great so it's going to go green next."
George Clooney and Ben Affleck arrived together, both sporting matching full-on beards. And the trend for facial hair among Hollywood's leading men was also in evidence on Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman and Javier Bardem. Only best actor winner Daniel Day-Lewis made sure he had a shave.
Celebrities and their stylists incorporated British designers into the mix -- Anne Hathaway in an embellished black gown by Burberry.
But how did they all cope with the worst of London's winter?

"The problem is that the red carpet gets soaked and long red carpet dresses get soaked from the bottom up but actually the actresses and actors who were here tonight knew exactly what they were getting themselves into and they knew what was coming so they coped with it really well I think."
