The Suryanelli gangrape case returned to haunt Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson P J Kurien when the victim asked her advocate to explore the possibility of a review of the Supreme Court order quashing all charges against him. The CPI-M's women wing All-India Democratic Women's Federation on February 6 took out a march to the state Assembly demanding a fresh probe into the Suryanelli gangrape case in view of the charge levelled against Kurien by the victim. Unfazed by the victim of the Suryanelli gangrape case sticking to her allegations against him, Kurien rejected the demand for his resignation. As the demand for his resignation grows, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman spoke exclusively to TIMES NOW. He stated that he is a victim of a political conspiracy and that there is no question of him stepping down.
