The UN refugee agency said it has received reports of horrific abuses being committed in Mali, and it anticipates up to 700,000 more people will be forced to flee their homes.

Meanwhile, French troops say they are making progress pushing rebels out of parts of Southern Mali with a ground operation to retake Konna and airstrikes on Diabaly.
