Al Qarra - Fifteen Russian sailors detained by Nigeria's navy in October have been transferred to police cells in Lagos for prosecution. The crew is suspected of arms smuggling. On October 19, Myre Seadiver entered the port of Lagos to restock and repair the ship. The Nigeria’s navy intercepted the vessel and arrested the crew after finding several guns. 8.500 rounds of ammunition were also aboard. The weapons were declared but Nigerian authorities believed it was the result of smuggling. They also said the ship entered Nigerian waters illegally.
