A 37 year old social activist from Kolkata succumbed to injuries after he set himself on fire on December 3. Amirul Islam reportedly took this step after police refused to take a rape complaint against a local man who allegedly raped a minor girl in November. Amirul's family is now demanding justice and action against the police officers who were pressuring Amirul.
