Commercial surrogacy is on the increase in Russia. Healthy women between 20 and 35-years-old who already have children can become a surrogate. Also, there is no limit to how much they can be paid for carrying someone else's child. In Russian law, the natural parents have complete rights to a newborn only if the surrogate mother signs away any claims to the child.
