They won't plead, they won't beg anymore. Today it is a clear demand for security that they have been denied for several years. The brutal rape of a 23 year old in the National Capital wounding an entire nation but for the Government it barely seems to matter. The Union Home Secretary calling the Delhi Police action 'outstanding' 9 times in his address today, even when the High Court has pulled up the police force in the gangrape case. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police seemed to be totally oblivious to the rising horror of rape in the Capital despite the registered number of rape cases going up by 800% between 1971 and 2011. They are seething with anger unwilling to back out but even as this wave of protest threatens to sweep New Delhi, Union Home Secretary and the Delhi Police seem to be totally out of sync with the reality.

In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- Smriti Irani, MP, Rajya Sabha, BJP; Pinky Virani, Law Bringing Activist & Senior lawyer; Shekhar Kapur, Producer/Director; Shazia Ilmi, Member, Aam Admi Party; Archana Puran Singh, Televison Presenter & Actress; Abha Singh, Senior Advocate & Social Activist; Sudhindra Bhadoria, Leader, BSP and Aditi Sengupta, Media Professional, TIMES NOW viewer, debates whether all the authorities including the police turned into a self praise club.
