ON AURA TOUT VU FASHION SHOW 2012 Singapore

French Couture Week 2012 Singapore culminated on Sunday in a spectacular show of fairytale, fantasy and fire from On Aura Tout Vu, the couture label by Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov.
Presenting looks from their previous two collections, including last season's flame-themed collection that made fashion headlines when the first model literally set fire to her bra top made of matches in a crystal-covered barbeque pit on the catwalk, the designer duo showcased their light-hearted and whimsical approach to haute couture with gusto.
Many of the looks that came down the runway played on the fire motif in various incarnations, including reds and oranges in swirling flame shapes, black and white fur that resembled smoke clouds and ash, and stunning gradient grey prints of smoking coils.
There were ultra-dramatic silhouettes, such as stiff stand-up collars on floor-length gowns and a sharp-shouldered jacket over a glittering bodysuit - little surprise, then, that Lady Gaga has turned to the services of On Aura Tout Vu for her outfits in the past.
When the finale dress appeared and made its way down the catwalk with two male models dressed as centaurs on either side, it was a moment of other-worldly wonderment and glamour that fittingly summarised the past few days of high fashion fantasy.
