Cyclone leaves destruction in Fiji

The aftermath of a severe cyclone in Fiji, which saw winds of up to 140 miles per hour (230kmh) batter the Pacific nation.
More than 8,000 residents and tourists headed to emergency shelters as the storm hit late on Monday (December 17).
There are no reports of casualties, but in some areas wooden homes and infrastructure are devastated.
Residents here are relieved to be alive, but have been left with little else to be grateful for.

"Most of our crops have been damaged and our houses, most of our houses have collapsed due to this cyclone."
The clean-up began in earnest on Tuesday (December 18), while many villagers who lost homes are still in evacuation centres.
Authorities say government ministers toured the islands by helicopter to assess the damage.
Fiji was the latest victim of Cyclone Evan, which left at least four people dead in Samoa last week.
