Sri Lankan lawyers are asking President Mahinda Rajapaksa to reconsider the impeachment of CHief Justice, Shirani Bandaranayake. Bandaranayake is being accusing of financial irregularity and bias by the Sri Lankan government. The 3,000 lawyers who oppose the government decision and stated that if the current Chief Justice was dismissed without a fair trial, the Bar Association will not welcome her successor.
