Justin Bieber becomes the subject of a different kind of hit.
Authorities in New Mexico have arrested two fugitives who allegedly planned to kill the singer and his bodyguard.
According to various media reports, convicted murder Dana Martin, who's serving two life sentences at a New Mexico prison and former fellow inmate Mark Staake, planned the murder.
Reports go on to say Staake enlisted the help of Tanner Ruane carry out the murder, which was to have taken place in November at New York City's Madison Square Garden during a Bieber concert.
Investigators say Martin, who is said to be infatuated with the singer and even sports a Bieber tattoo, had a change of heart and contacted police about their plans.
Police arrested Staake in Vermont and Ruane was later apprehended in upstate New York.
