The celebrated musician who introduced Indian music to much of the Western world, Ravi Shankar has died at his home in California at the age of 92.
A composer and master of the sitar, he was a three-time Grammy winner.
But it was as a hippie musical icon of the 1960s that he made his name, particularly when Beatle George Harrison became his most famous disciple.
