Blood spilled: Violent clashes in Iran claim 8 people

The Iranian security council has confirmed that eight people have been killed and hundreds arrested after what turned out to be one of the bloodiest clashes in months between protesters and police in the country's capital. The nephew of former presidential candidate and opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavee, is reportedly among the dead. A number of opposition figures have been arrested in Iran, a day after violent protests.
