Protests against the Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi are spreading beyond Cairo. Pro- and anti- Muslim Brotherhood protesters clashed overnight in the Nile Delta city of Mahalla. 50 people were injured.

There is widespread opposition to Morsi's plans for constitutional reform, which grant him a raft of unchecked powers.
