Syrian fighter jets - flown by pilots loyal to President Bashar al-Assad attacked an unfinished refugee camp in Bab Al-Hawa, near the Syrian-Turkish border, on Monday.
Destroyed tents litter the camp which was empty during the assault.
Missiles could be seen overhead as government forces continued to bombard the area which sits less than two miles from the border with Turkey.
Rebels took control of the border crossing here last July in an area where thousands of refugees have camped with the hopes of escaping to Turkey.
Monday's bombing was one of the closest to the border and comes just a day before Turkish and NATO officials were set to determine where to place surface-to-air missiles to counter cross-border attacks.
