Violence in Egypt as residents protest what they call a power grab by the country's President Mohamed Mursi.

In Cairo, police fired teargas to disperse the crowds... while protesters bombarded police with rocks.

A tent city in Cairo's iconic Tahrir Square echoed demonstrations seen during the Arab Spring uprising.

In Damanhour, an attack on the office of the Muslim Brotherhood turned deadly when one member was killed and 60 others injured.

Mursi's announced last week that he would temporarily widen his powers and shield his decisions from judicial review until a constitution was formed.

News of the announcement sparked outrage across the country. More than 500 people have been injured in violent protests so far.
