A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO CURE PARKINSONS
What: A benefit evening of comedy and music to raise funds for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research. The evening featured a selection of crowd favorites from Elvis Costello and The Imposters. Guests from the audience were invited on-stage to spin his wheel of songs. Kate Couric took a spin at the wheel and landed on his hit Alison which Elvis sang to her on-stage.
The crowd was also entertained by host Dennis Leary and his band featuring comedy by Louis C.K. Bill & Wilie Geist and Katie Couric took the stage to share some inspiring stories and Amanda Peet and Donny Deutsch lead the nights poker auction. Over 900 guests including Michaels friends from the worlds of television and film joined New Yorks business and political leaders to raise 4.5 million for Parkinsons research.
