Grammy Award-winning country-folk duo The Civil Wars have canceled their British tour dates, citing "irreconcilable differences" via Twitter and Facebook. The pair made the announcement shortly after performing in London on Tuesday (November 6), but they added that they hoped to record together soon. The band said it would "do its best" to reimburse fans who had made travel reservations to see them.

More than a dozen people were injured when scaffolding outside a stadium in Cape Town, South Africa collapsed ahead of a Linkin Park concert. City officials said the structure collapse appeared to be caused by powerful winds. The Linkin Park concert is still scheduled to go on.

Country-pop star Taylor Swift brought the festive spirit to London on Tuesday (November 6) night by switching on the Christmas lights at a shopping mall. Thousands of fans packed into the Westfield shopping centre in west London for a glimpse of their idol, who was in town to promote her new album "RED" which has notched up the highest first week U.S. sales figures in a decade. Swift turned on the Christmas lights with a group of children and performed three of her hits. Swift also held on to the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart on Wednesday (November 7), keeping rapper Meek Mill from the top spot.
