Federal Minister and Deputy Convener of MQM Dr Farooq Sattar has challenged asking the parliamentarians to submit affidavit regarding dual nationality in the Supreme Court.
K.A. Wahab, the counsel of MQM leader, submitted the petition in the Supreme Court Karachi registry on the behalf of Farooq Sattar in which it is pleaded that the court may review the process of asking parliamentarians to present their sworn statements about the dual nationality.
The application added that the decision on dual nationality resulted violation of overseas Pakistanis’ rights so the court may constitute larger bench to hear the case.
