Here in Damascus - the aftermath of a deadly car bomb outside a police station.
Syrian state television said several people were killed in the Sunday morning blast in the capital's Bab Touma district.
The explosion happened as President Bashar al-Assad was meeting with international envoy Lakhdar Brahimi who's called for a temporary truce for the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.
Damascus residents said Assad's forces shelled several districts on the edge of the city overnight.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors violence across the country, said 140 people were killed in Syria on Saturday.
