OK, I could've uploaded this earlier but certain life stuff such as me searching for a job and certain circumstances got in the way.
Anyway, after the WCML franchise award was withdrawn from FirstGroup, the Department for Transport had found the flaws in the rail franchise bidding system in which they and the government were complete thoughtless to overlook. In regards to Patrick McLoughlin, he decided to let Virgin Trains, the current WCML operators to remain on the line for about 9-13 months which I think is good considering that FirstGroup are not the best transit company in the UK and the fact that FG had let down more people than Virgin (although I wish the Virgin nitpickers would cool it on the negative backlash.) baffles me as a regular rail traveller. Also, it has been confirmed that the DfT would restart the process which could mean a wait until at last 2014 for the next franchise to be setting stone. Only time will tell, but I'm hoping Virgin will keep the line after what I consider a fiasco in Britain's railways and a complete burdon of this country's flawed government and their inconsistant decisions.
