There are seven categories in the National Lottery Awards that reflect the main areas of Lottery funding: arts, sport, heritage, health, environment, education and voluntary/charity. The public are able to vote for their favourite projects in these categories until Sunday 28 October 2012 at www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards . The winners will be celebrated at a special star-studded show on BBC One later in the year.
