Questions have been raised over the transfer of IAS officer Ashok Khemka working in the Haryana government's land registration department. The transfer orders came on October 11 allegedly hours after he initiated a probe into all the land dealings of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra. Khemka has protested his eviction from the post of Director-General of Land Consolidation. Khemka has accepted his transfer but issued an order cancelling the mutation of a 3.531-acre plot of land in Manesar-Shikohpur that Vadra had sold to DLF for Rs. 58 crore, on his last day in office on October 15.
