It was the concert that rocked the Russian establishment.

Pussy Riot - a female punk band - in a Moscow cathedral railing against president Vladimir Putin and the Russian government.

The concert netted these three members of the band jail term in August for hooliganism.

Now one of the rockers, Yekaterina Samutsevich, has been freed after an appeal court overturned her conviction.

And she says she would do it all again.

(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) FREED PUSSY RIOT MEMBER, YEKATERINA SAMUTSEVICH, SAYING:

"Of course I want to continue to stage illegal concerts. Certainly we are now in a lot more difficult situation from the point of view of security. But we will work somehow under these circumstances."

The 30-year-old said the concert was successful in drawing attention to corruption in the justice system and the cozy relationship between the church and state.

While Samutsevich was freed, her two bandmates lost their appeals against a two-year jail term.
