Survivors of the Haiti earthquake - measuring seven on the richter scale - are struggling to save those still trapped under the rubble. An estimated three million people will need emergency relief as aid organisations make their way to the scene. The Haitian Red Cross predicts an horrific death toll of around 50,000.
