DANIEL GILLIES Writer/Director/Actor
New Zealand actor/writer/director Daniel Gillies emerged on the International scene playing John Jameson, the astronaut golden-boy and fiancé to Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi's 'Spiderman' trilogy. From there he went to work with Roland Joffé, Gurinda Chadha and several other reputable industry heavyweights. In 2006 he starred in the International Festival darling 'The Sensation of Sight' alongside Academy Award nominee David Strathairn. Gillies' TV acting credits include Spielberg's mini-series 'Into the West' for TNT and more recently HBO's 'True Blood' and A&Es 'The Glades'. For his 3rd Season now, Daniel plays the recurring lead 'Elijah' in the hit CW show, 'The Vampire Diaries'. Gillies now stars in the new medical series drama 'Saving Hope' with NBC, in which he plays Joel Goran -- the hotshot young surgeon of the cast.
RACHAEL LEIGH COOK Producer/Actor
Rachael made her film acting debut in 1995's The Baby-Sitters Club and has appeared in over 40 films and television shows since. In 2010, Rachael made her first foray into producing as an executive producer on the film Broken Kingdom, in which she also stars. She can currently be seen on TNT's hit crime series Perception as FBI Agent Kate Moretti. A native of Minnesota, she now calls Los Angeles home.
JOHN LYONS MURPHY Co-Director of Kingdom Come, Lead Producer on Broken Kingdom
John Lyons Murphy is a producer, writer, and director. He is the lead producer on the narrative feature Broken Kingdom as well as the co-director of documentary Kingdom Come. His past credits include serving as an Executive Producer on the critically acclaimed films Rock The Bells (2006) and The Life Of Reilly (2006). A graduate of New York University with a bachelors in Film & Television, he is the Director Of Content at short-form documentary marketing firm AboutFace Media. Previously, he was the Vice President of Development at Civilian Pictures, a boutique film finance company, which necessitated he earn his Series 7 broker's license. Murphy has also written commercially for clients such as Microsoft and Disney. He lives in Los Angeles and is happy to water your plants and feed your cat when you're out of town.
About the film
Two stories weave their way from the harrowing slums of Bogotá to the hills of Hollywood. A 14-year-old street girl and an American writer discover an uncommon union, while a day-care teacher in Los Angeles does everything she can to fight the weight of a tragic secret.
