ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Germany on Wednesday marked 22 years since reunification with an official ceremony in the southern city of Munich.
It was in 1990 that a treaty was signed, dissolving the German Democratic Republic and creating one country under the constitution of western Germany.
To mark the date, groups from all 16 German federal states marched through the Bavarian city dressed in the traditional outfits of the different regions.
The celebrations come in the same week that 82-year-old former leader Helmut Kohl, known as the father of German reunification, was honored 30 years after becoming Chancellor.
