The profit motive is a gift form God that guarantee's we do not all starve to death. In countries where the profit motive has been removed there are massive shortages and famine. Before the Soviet Union fell people would defect and immediately return home when they discovered the USSR did not have the capability to produce toilet paper. In North Korea people have been reduced to cannibalism, literally forced to eat their own young.
