For the first time since backing UN sanctions against Tehran over its nuclear programme, Russia's President has met Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And it was those suspected atomic ambitions which were the focus of the talks held in Azerbaijan. The two were meeting at a summit of the five nations bordering the Caspian sea, all of whom have claims to the sea's vast energy resources.
