A former US marine turned supermarket worker allegedly shot dead two colleagues on Friday, before killing himself.

The 23-year-old man returned to the New Jersey grocery store after his shift armed with a handgun and an AK 47 rifle, from which he is said to have fired at least 16 rounds.

Police are investigating the motive.
