A law targeting internet users in Malaysia is creating new concerns about freedom of expression in the Southeast Asian nation.

The law will make owners of computers, forums or websites liable for what is published under their name.

The government says the law will help to curb online slander and defamation, but opposition groups say the government is trying to control the freedoms of cyberspace.
