Chen Guangcheng, the blind legal activist at the centre of a diplomatic crisis threatening US-China relations, has told Al Jazeera that "the agreement between the US and China guaranteeing my safety, has not beeen fully honoured".
Speaking to Al Jazeera over phone on Thursday from his hospital room in Beijing, he described the situation in his house in Dongshigu, a village in Shandong province, as "very bad".
He said the authorities had installed seven cameras and that there were police in his home.
"There are lots of people there. They eat at my dining table, use my furniture. The situation isn't good. They also want to install an electric fence," Chen said, referring to the police officers.
