Orthodox Christians around the World are preparing for the holiest day in their religious calendar, Orthodox Easter. The holiday follows seven weeks of Lent, a period of prayer and fasting strictly observed by believers in Russia, the seat of the largest of the Eastern Orthodox Churches. But on the eve of the holiday, worshippers prepare traditional food as they get ready to break the fast. The food is then blessed by members of the clergy.
