The Islamist group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on churches across Northern Nigeria.
The impact was devastating. About a dozen cars were destroyed. In some of them, entire families perished just as they were leaving the first mass.
Up to forty people are now dead.
But angry residents say the figure is much higher. They vent their anger on the failure of security agencies to protect them.
