Where at least 40 have died in the capital of Yemen after security forces opened fire on anti-government protesters. Scores more were wounded as police attempted to prevent demonstrators leaving Saana's main square. Protesters have been demanding President Ali Abdullah Saleh stand down in a number of rallies over recent weeks, but are usually met with an armed police response.
