Taps turned off as Trevi Fountain undergoes repairs

Views 1

The famed Trevi fountain in Rome has been drained as it undergoes repairs to its facade.

Several small pieces fell from the fountain in June.

While engineers repair the monument a full check up on the general state of the attraction, completed in 1762, will be undertaken.

It is estimated that 2.5 million euros will be needed for a complete restoration.
