A national dialogue between the government and opposition groups

Talks aimed at resolving Bahrain's divisions, after months of tensions and protests, opened on Saturday.

Yet many are still unconvinced that the country's Sunni rulers are committed to change. Witnesses in Bahrain say riot police fired tear gas at protestors denouncing the start of reconciliation talks, within hours of the negotiations.

But not everyone in the country feels confident these talks can resolve divisions.

Al Jazeera's Nazanin Sadri reports on the "national dialogue".
