Bad news spreads fast.... especially when it comes to a botched art fresco.

Last week, a church in northeastern Spain announced one of their fresco's of Jesus Christ had been destroyed after an 80-year old amateur art restorer tried to fix it.

The distorted image, which many in the media likened to a hairy monkey, has drawn pilgrims, tourists and reporters by the dozens.

Behold the Man... now jokingly redubbed Behold the Monkey... will be assessed later this week by professional art restorers to see if it can be salvaged.
