Witnesses in Oceanside, California were shocked and horrified to see that someone had tied a turtle to a bunch of balloons and let it go. The balloons got stuck in a tree and a local resident speaks of the turtle stating, “He was just swinging his arms trying to get out of it. Somebody had taped him to the balloons”. Just as the fire department was getting ready to free the turtle, a heavy wind blew him to the ground and he was thankfully unharmed. The turtle is being held at the humane society while an investigation is underway to find out who committed the act.
