US President Barack Obama is inching closer to imposing new sanctions against countries that buy oil from Iran.

Obama says there is enough crude oil on the international markets for countries to cut Iranian imports.

The US and EU believe Iran is trying to develop a nuclear weapon, something the Iranian government denies.
