Campaigners in a Argentina have lost their fight against the excessive use of agrochemicals in a landmark agricultural ruling.
The trial, the first of its kind in Latin America was critical for Argentina’s economy as the world’s third-largest soybean exporter.
Activists claimed the excessive use of chemical sprays were toxic to poorer communities residing near crop farms.
It is hoped the ruling will open the debate for a review of fumigation policies.
