Man Lifts SUV, Saves His Friend - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.
One man in Brockton, Massachusetts passed a major test of true friendship.
48-year-old, Carlos Castro lifted an SUV off of his friend, who was pinned underneath the vehicle. His friend, Rob Brown was in the process of changing a tire when the jack slipped, causing the vehicle to drop on top of Brown. Castro was able to pick the heavy vehicle up off of the ground and hold it long enough to enable his friend to get out. Castro is surprised he was able to hold the SUV, noting, “Being a grandfather, I didn’t think I could do that.” Brown was taken to a nearby hospital, but he was said to be fine and alert. Castro speaks of the ordeal stating “It's just something that I did that I hope anybody can do for me if it happened to me.”
Earlier this summer, another amazing report of superhuman strength surfaced. A 22-year-old woman lifted a car off of her father, after a jack slipped. She found her dad pinned to the garage floor and quickly raised the vehicle. She got him out and performed CPR, saving his life.
