At least six people have been killed and six others injured after a small commuter aircraft carrying 12 people crashed on Thursday while trying to land in heavy fog in southwest Ireland. Two passengers had to be cut from the wreckage, and all six survivors, among them passengers with severe burns, were at Cork University Hospital. The aircraft operated by regional carrier Manx2 was traveling from Belfast, Northern Ireland, to the southwestern city of Cork. Witnesses say the turboprop aircraft had made several attempts to land in foggy conditions.
