North Korean sporting fans crouch in front of a big screen to catch the latest Olympic action.

This broadcast, outside a train station in the capital of Pyongyang, attracted hundreds of people, who cheered on their compatriots in London.

"Enjoying the moment of happiness alone is not as happy as sharing it. So I came here to celebrate the achievements of all athletes and share happiness with people from across our country."

The isolated and deeply impoverished country has enjoyed its most successful Olympics in two decades.

Its athletes have won four gold medals and two bronzes.

One of those medal winners was weightlifter Kim Un Guk, who set a world record.
